This facilitator program is designed for therapists, counselors, dietitians, and other health and wellness professionals who seek to guide their clients through evidence-based body image training that provides a proven path to body image resilience. Becoming an official Beauty Redefined Program Facilitator enables you to utilize our online Beauty Redefined Body Image Resilience Program with your clients as you guide them with in-person or online support. Your clients will engage with the online course in a structured manner based on the schedule set by you as the facilitator and then meet regularly in individual or group sessions to discuss and delve deeper into clients’ personal feelings and experiences prompted by the online content and challenges. Facilitators will receive a printed Facilitator Workbook that provides an outline and guide for therapeutic discussion, along with student workbooks for each client.

The Beauty Redefined online program is a research-backed, in-depth course for individuals that guides participants through the life-changing process of developing positive body image in manageable steps. Based on our theoretical model of body image resilience, this course consists of 8 units (made up of 15 detailed modules) that users engage with as a fully video-based course and/or a text- and graphics-based course, along with full audio recording. The course also utilizes interactive surveys, challenges, reflections, and online group discussion.

Through pilot testing and feedback from course participants, we have found that an in-person (or online) support component is a great asset to magnifying the impact of our online course. It provides deeper engagement, personalization, opportunities to question and challenge ideas as a group and/or with a professional, and accountability to stick with the course and resilience process.

This facilitator program is unique. Here’s what it is not: This is not a certification or accreditation program for facilitators or course participants. Being approved as a Beauty Redefined Program Facilitator does not certify anyone to speak or work in any capacity related to the Body Image Resilience course material outside of facilitating the course with paid clients enrolled in the course. Further, we require that facilitators (and course participants) do not copy or share the course material with anyone who isn’t enrolled in the online course. This facilitator program is designed and intended to be used only in conjunction with the online Body Image Resilience course, which is a copyrighted process for understanding and developing body image resilience.

The major benefit to facilitators is that Beauty Redefined provides a robust, research-based body image curriculum to which you and your clients have total access. We provide the body image resilience content and training and you provide the personalized support to supplement the process. Official Facilitators can market themselves as such and recruit clients who are interested in or would benefit from in-depth body image training and support. The major benefit to clients is that they are able to fully engage online with this dynamic, in-depth course and then meet (in person or online) with a professional (individually or with a group of peers) regularly throughout the course to more fully process and engage with the material through discussion and personal support.



If you’re approved to become a Beauty Redefined Program Facilitator, we provide a package of benefits to use in your individual and group therapy practice.


For an annual registration fee, approved facilitators will receive:

  • An official designation as a Beauty Redefined Program Facilitator

    • Beauty Redefined Program Facilitator badge for your website and social media platforms (pictured above and available in multiple formats/colors)

    • For licensed therapists and registered dietitians only, a listing on the “Find a Facilitator” page of our website,, and our online course landing page as an official facilitator* for our course, noting your practice, location and website (if desired).

    • A digital marketing toolkit to help you market the course and enroll clients

  • Enrollment in our online course for you as the facilitator and 10 of your clients (normally $199 each)

    Each client receives a ‘More Than a Body’ tote bag with their student handbook


  • Printed Facilitator Workbook 

    • Beautifully designed, comprehensive outline and summary of the entire online course

    • Discussion prompts, challenge and reflection overviews, and points to highlight or consider for individual or group meetings

Your Clients Will Receive a Bundle Including:

  • A 16-Week Enrollment to the Online Course 

  • A Printed Student Workbook* 

  • A Beauty Redefined “More than a Body” Tote Bag* 

*If you are based outside the US, shipping these hard-copy materials will require an additional fee of $25, which will appear on your invoice. It will also require your patience, since we have no control over the timeline for international shipping!


Beauty Redefined Program Facilitators are charged a flat annual fee of $1,500, which includes everything described above for yourself and 10 of your clients*.

However, you can add any number of additional Client Bundles (minimum 10) at any point in the year for a discounted cost per client:

  • 10-24 additional clients at $110 per client

  • 25-49 additional clients at $106 per client

  • 50-99 additional clients at $100 per client

  • 100+ additional clients at $92 per client

Q: How do I sign up?

A: Submit your information in the form below this FAQ section for review and we’ll contact you within 1-2 business days with any questions or approval to begin registration as an official Beauty Redefined Facilitator.

Q: What are my payment options?

A: Upon approval as an official BR Facilitator, we will invoice you for the flat fee plus the cost of any additional client bundles, which must be paid up front upon invoice either via credit card or check. Once we receive your facilitator registration payment, (for US-based facilitators) we will mail your facilitator guide, student workbooks, and tote bags, and (for everyone) send you a unique client enrollment link so you can enroll clients yourself or instruct them to enroll themselves in the online course. We will also list your practice and information on our Find a Facilitator page at and send you your digital facilitator guide, online access to the course for yourself, and access to the digital marketing toolkit to get started advertising the course through your practice.

Q: Do I qualify to become a facilitator? 

A: We accept licensed therapists and counselors in a variety of fields, including psychology, social work, nutrition, registered dietitians, and certain other credentials within this scope of work. All facilitators must agree to and abide by our terms, and submit accurate information via the submission form below. The Beauty Redefined Facilitator Program should be used in conjunction with existing skills and integrated into the facilitator’s existing practices. Facilitators are only permitted to practice within their existing scope of practice as dictated by their licensure, certifications and/or professional credentials. Being approved as a Beauty Redefined Facilitator does not provide you with the skills to start a new line of work, and it provides no credentials or certification outside of facilitating our online course with paid clients enrolled in the course.

Q: What if I am not a professional but I want to coordinate a support group among my friends, family, or community group using your course?

A: If you are not a licensed professional in any of the fields listed above, but you are interested in leading a group of women enrolled in the online course without charging a fee or making a profit, we can offer you a discount for group enrollments. Please note sharing the course information with others who are not paid enrollees in the course is strictly prohibited, so leading a group where any participants aren’t registered in the course is not permitted. Email us at if you are interested in a group discount, and be sure to tell us how big your group might be. If all the course enrollments are being paid at once (by one person), we can set up a group link for all of your group members to access the course without requiring them to submit payment.

Q: What does the course schedule require?

A: The course is 8 units (made up of 15 modules in full video, full text/graphics, and full audio), which we recommend can be covered in as few as 8 weeks or as many as 16 weeks, depending on you and your clients’ preferences. We provide recommendations for the course schedule in the printed Facilitator Guidebook, such as offering an orientation meeting for introductions and expectations before regular group sessions.

Q: How much should I charge clients?

A: We want facilitators to use their professional expertise and knowledge of clients to set their own prices for group or individual sessions to run the course. We want it to be profitable for you while not being excessive for your clients. Here is a table showing the revenue for a group of 10 clients  when charging $30 or $50 for an 8- or 10-week session (although the course has enough content for up to 16 sessions if you prefer). The schedule is up to you, although we provide recommendations in the Facilitator Guidebook that accompanies your registration.

Q: Why are only licensed therapists and registered dietitians listed on the “Find a Facilitator” page?

A: While we respect and love all of our approved facilitators, we need to limit our website referral listings to those who hold these specific credentials: licensed therapists and registered dietitians. We do our best to thoroughly vet all of our facilitators, all of whom are required to adhere to certain requirements and values. However, restricting our website referrals to those with these certain licenses — both of which are rigorously reviewed and required to be kept up to date — is our most reliable way to ensure proper vetting and uphold the credibility of our nonprofit. With or without a listing on our website, all approved Beauty Redefined Facilitators are equipped to market themselves as such within their own scopes of work.

Lindsay Kite, Ph.D. and Lexie Kite, Ph.D.

Beauty Redefined, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to promoting positive body image online and in live speaking events, is run by identical twins Lexie Kite, Ph.D. and Lindsay Kite, Ph.D. Since establishing Beauty Redefined in 2009, Lexie and Lindsay have become leading experts in the work of body image resilience through research-backed online education available on their website, social media, and through speaking events to tens of thousands across the US. While many well-intentioned people promote positive body image from the basis of helping women realize and embrace their beauty, Beauty Redefined changes the conversation about body image by telling girls and women they are MORE than beautiful. Lexie and Lindsay assert positive body image is about feeling positively toward your body overall, not just what it looks like.

The Beauty Redefined mantra is: “Women are more than just bodies. See more. Be more.” This expanded definition of positive body image provides the foundation for their overall mission to promote body image resilience, or the ability to become stronger *because* of the difficulties and shame women experience in their bodies, not *in spite of* those things. Through both research and personal experiences, Beauty Redefined works to arm girls and women with the tools to become resilient in the face of objectification and unreal ideals about female bodies.

Beauty Redefined is based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Lindsay and Lexie earned their Ph.D.s from the University of Utah Department of Communication in 2013 after earning their master’s degrees from the same department in 2009. Their complementary dissertations were focused on positive body image through the research areas of resilience, media literacy, health literacy, women’s representation in media, health education, and feminist theory and methods.
